6 Kaiju Work Experience Boy Could Maybe Beat up If He Was Gigantic, and How
A note from Oscar: Bandai Namco’s Godzilla game comes out really soon, and it looks like it will be a whole heap of fun! Despite him not being overly familiar with Godzilla, I asked our work experience boy from this week, Remi, to tell me which Kaiju he thinks he could beat up if he were really big, and how he thinks it would go down.
Mothra
First appearance: 1961 Toho film, Mothra
To defeat Mothra in a battle I would use mirrors to reflect a bright beam of light onto the ground to distract it, after this i would try to create holes in its wings through firing the closest projectile, such as cars, trees and metal posts, to ground it, once it is on the ground it cannot do anything to protect itself. A problem would be the large amount of wind it creates flying as the size it is requires a lot of upwards thrust.
Gigan
First appearance: 1972 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Gigan
Because Gigan is a cyborg my main aim would be to create an Electrical magnetic pulse to disable all electronics, and hopefully stunning him so that I can hit him with a heavy object, if i cannot achieve this then I would try to dull the blade attached to its arms by forcing it to block projectiles and fight it arm to arm. The Gigan is probably smarter and stronger than me because it was created by intelligent alien life, it also has metal armoring that would be very hard to peirce.
Destoroyah
First appearance: 1995 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.
I don’t think that destoroyah will be able to fly because his weight to wingspan ratio is too big, he doesn’t look fast enough to do any damage to me, and I don’t think I would be strong enough to do any damage to him because he has very heavy armor. He has a tail that he can use to help him balance and trip me over.
Biollante
First appearance: 1989 Godzilla film, Godzilla vs. Biollante.
Because the Biollante is very large and presumably slow because of it, I would keep a distance away and attempt to injure it by throwing projectiles. It would be unlikely for me to defeat it in a melee battle because it has multiple (tendrils?) that it could easily use to entangle and restrain me.
Kamoebas
First appearance: 1970 Toho film, Space Amoeba.
I would hit it in the head hoping it does not retract into it’s shell because if he did I would find it impossible to defeat him, its shell would be too thick to break, and too heavy to lift into a dangerous position.
Manda
First appearance: 1963 film Atragon.
My aim we fighting the Manda would be to get it out of water, to do this I would grab its horns because the length of its body would be too slippery to get a grip on. The manda can survive underwater however I wouldn’t be able to if it were to drag me to the depths of the sea, because of this I would be forced to stay in shallower areas of the ocean while we battle.
