Two New ARMS Trailers Introduce Characters and Weapon Types

Nintendo have uploaded two new ARMS trailers, a character introduction trailer and an ARM encyclopaedia! These give a detailed look at some different playable characters and weapon types.

Character Introduction

The character introduction gives a brief look at 5 playable characters in battle and their skills and abilities!

Spring Man – Spring Man is balanced in power and speed. His shockwave can be used to block enemy attacks and then follow up with a counter strike! When his HP drops to 1/4, his Charge Mode allows him to deal extra damage with every hit!

Ribbon Girl – The idol of the ring, Ribbon Girl’s ability to multi-jump allows her to dodge attacks and strike from the air!

Ninjara – As expected of a ninja-style fighter, Ninjara has the ability to teleport with mid-air dashes! Using these can help him dodge hits from his opponent and close in quickly to attack!

Master Mummy – Master Mummy is a powerful character who doesn’t stagger much when hit. He also heals while guarding, which is a really great ability! From his size though, he looks like he’ll probably be quite slow.

Mechanica – Similiar to Master Mummy, Mechanica is a heavyweight character who doesn’t stagger when she takes a hit. She has the ability to hover when the jump button is held, allowing her to overpower her opponent from above!

ARM Encyclopaedia

The ARM encyclopaedia details 6 different types of ARM you can equip.

Fire Punch – Once charged, Fire Punch allows you to set your opponent on fire for extra damage!

Big Punch – Big Punch is a huge weapon, which looks like it will deal heavy damage with each strike! It’ll even be able to knock weaker punches out of the air.

Thunder Punch – Charging Thunder Punch allows you to stun your enemies and get in extra hits!

Boomerang – Boomerang can send your opponent into a flying spin when charged up!

Revolver – Revolver enables you to rack up combos with its multiple shots – perfect for attacking from above!

Salamander – As its name suggests, the Salamander is also fire-based when charged. Its length seems to give it pretty good reach too!

You can have two different ARMs equipped at once – one for each hand, of course – so it’s all about finding a fighting style that works for you! You can even switch ARMs in-between rounds for the ultimate mix-up!
