BlazBlue Central Fiction New Characters Introduced

BlazBlue: Central Fiction introduces 4 new playable characters to the expansive roster including Nine the Phantom, one of the legendary Six Heroes, alongside Kagura’s servant Hibiki, Naoto from the untranslated novel The Bloodedge Experience and Hades: Izanami who is possessing Saya, the sister of Ragna and Jin.

Nine the Phantom

Nine, the wife of Jubei and mother of Kokonoe, was presumed dead after the battle of the Black Beast before being found alive as a servant of Hades: Izanami. Having gone insane from being the Phantom for so long, she’s since come to have her own plans for the world. Boasting incredible range, speed, control of various elements and a teleport that evades damage, Nine makes for a perfect character for those who enjoy zoning and heavy assaults – like me!

Hades: Izanami

Possessing Saya, the sister of Ragna and Jin, Hades: Izanami is the series’ main anatagonist and the previous Imperator of the Novus Orbis Librarium. Discarding her co-conspirators, Terumi and Relius, Izanami puts her plan to grant ‘the gift of death to the world’ in motion. Izanami has several projectiles and the ability to float, making her a hard character to pin down and will be one of the most unpredictable playable characters in the series so far.

Hibiki Kohaku

central fiction new characters 3

Hibiki is from a clan of assassins that have dedicated their lives to protecting the Mitsuki family, with Hibiki protecting Kagura, and does most of his administration work too! He seems cool on the outside but underneath he’s fuelled by ravenous revenge. One of the speediest characters in BlazBlue with the ability to instantly teleport and and use his shadow as a projectile, he’s able to rush his opponents down from anywhere on-screen.

Naoto Kurogane

central fiction new characters 4

Naoto is the main character of the novel ‘The Bloodedge Experience’ and has the same ability that Ragna does. He’s been sent to the current timeline by Rachel Alucard, although he’s known to be dead in this timeline, and is trying to find his way home. Naoto has a balanced playstyle who can tackle any situation with his mix of close-up and ranged abilities.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction releases on PS4 and PS3 on 4th November in Europe and 3 days earlier across North America.
