Chaos;Child Release Date Announced for October

PQube have announced a Chaos;Child release date. The acclaimed visual novel in the Science Adventure series will be heading westward 13th October 2017 for Europe, and 24th October 2017 in North America, for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita systems. A new trailer has also been released, telling us a bit more about the story.

The trippy trailer sets the unsettling mood for the game, and is filled with strange, cryptic imagery. Especially relating to the serial killings in Shibuya, and to the senses. Those familiar with the anime or the Japanese original will no doubt recognise some key elements referenced in the trailer. The news and trailer comes courtesy of the announcement on the official PlayStation blog. It’s always great to see Sony getting fully behind their unique Japanese gems as of late.

Part of the Science Adventure Series that spawned the wildly successful visual novel, STEINS;GATE, the haunting and grisly mystery tale of CHAOS;CHILD tells the story of Takuru Miyashiro. After losing his parents in a tragic accident during an earthquake years ago, he’s now living with a foster family and trying to make his way through school. When a series of bizarre deaths take place in Shibuya, Takuru notices that the dates of the incidents match up with a series of murders that happened shortly before the fateful earthquake that changed his life years earlier.

Takuru and his friends from the school newspaper begin to investigate the case and become involved in a dangerous mystery that will irrevocably change his life once again…

Coming as soon as October, there’s not much longer to wait! Chaos;Child has received a lot of praise as a worthy inclusion to the Science Adventure line of visual novels. Dark, intense, and disturbing, this is one of the most full-on horror stories we’ve seen in a video game, regardless of genre — and with some pleasing mystery and crime elements to boot.

Chaos;Child will be releasing in Europe on October 13, 2017 and North America on October 24, 2017 for PS4 and PS Vita.

Spread the love!
