Creeping Terror Coming to PC & 3DS in the West in Autumn

Originally released in Janurary of this year in the Japanese 3DS eShop, Creeping Terror is now heading westward for both PC & 3DS this Autumn. Developed by Sushi Typhoon Games and Nikkatsu, it’s a 2D horror exploration game that tasks you with escape and old mansion and its grounds.

It was announced at Anime Expo that the game will be heading west later this year and will be coming to PC in addition to its native 3DS format. Not to be confused with the 60s horror film The Creeping Terror, Creeping Terror is a Japanese indie horror game that sees you play as a high school girl attempting to survive and escape while being hunted.

Arisa arrives at a mansion with her high school friends — a mansion rumoured to house a monster. Needless to say, it’s not a good idea, and some bad things happen. She awakens deep within some caves attached to the mansion, and must try to escape while dealing with hazards both natural and supernatural.

A player maneuvers the high school girl, Arisa, to explore “cave,” “tunnel,” and “old mansion.”

The story begins with the arrival of Arisa and her friends at an old mansion where a monster is believed to lurk.

Later, Arisa comes to her sense in the cave and finds herself alone.

She has no way of knowing a fate awaiting her.

During her escape she will be hunted by the monster — a ghoulish man with a bloody shovel — and his fiends. She can run and she can hide, such as behind old mine cars. It’s more a game about survival and conflict avoidance than taking on anything head on.

You’ll need your wits about you to get through some puzzles. It gives off vibes reminiscent of the original Clock Tower with its survival and chase aspects. As one of the creepiest horror series out there, anything that reminds us of Clock Tower is a good thing!

Creeping Terror will be coming to 3DS & PC in the west Autumn 2017.

Spread the love!
