Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation Browser Game Launches in 2017

Koei Tecmo already announced that Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation was already in development last year as a browser game for the DMM service, but only now has more information surfaced. It looks like it’ll be coming out this year, and will be featured at Tokyo Game Show next month.

As the name suggests, this is a spin-off of a spin-off — a new entry in the Dead or Alive Xtreme series, where the ladies of the fighting game get to relax and have a good time on a beach. Say what you will about them, some of the games in the series have offered some pretty fun and relaxing mini-games, especially the first in the series, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, which is a legit good volleyball game.

Venus Vacation will take advantage of a new version of the Soft Engine to improve upon the series’ already pretty good visuals. The new information from Famitsu reveals quite a few girls will be making it into Venus Vacation, and confirms the inclusion of favourite modes like photography and viewing modes. The focus seems to be on making a game that’s easy and fun to enjoy casually, which is what you want from a relaxing beach game.

Much more will be revealed at TGS. Venus Vacation has been announced as being a free to play game that will have microtransactions. As with most DMM games, it doesn’t seem like it will be getting an English release, but it is possible to access DMM outside of Japan if you know how to do that sort of thing with your web browser. Just be careful you don’t accidentally spend loads of money! I’m still working off the debt I accrued on all of those Akiba’s Trip Festa outfits…

Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation releases this year for web browsers as part of the DMM service. More news is due during TGS next month.

Spread the love!
