Dreamcast in Neptunia VII

Fans of the Dreamcast can finally rejoice as the newest installment in the Hyperdimensional Neptunia franchise, Victory II, will be finally giving that platform the attention it deserves. The new playable goddess is a Dreamcast personification. She is called Uzume Orange Heart and will carry around a megaphone as her weapon.

Unlike Neptune, when Uzume transforms she becomes a lot more childish. Her HDD form even has her cosplaying as the iconic console. Both forms have her wearing a white and orange color scheme which is the official Dreamcast color scheme in Japan. Uzume also has a swirl on her megaphone and tie, triangle clips that resemble the Dreamcast power buttons, a VMU attached to her glove and a I ❤ DC badge. She will be voiced by Mariko Honda, who was the voice actress of Lucille Ernella in Atelier Escha & Logy.

Neptunia VII will have three distinct stories, which where initially all planed to be separate titles. There will be an all new battle system, said to be closer to that of the original game. You will have three types of basic attacks, Standard, Power and Rush, which will allow for a great deal of flexibility during battles. Formations will also play a key part in combat.

Hyperdimension Neptunia VII - 1

For those a bit confused Hyperdimensional Neptunia VII isn’t really the seventh title in the main series, but instead it is the sequel to the 2012 Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory for the PlayStation 3. Victory II will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive and is planned to come out in Japan on the 23rd of April this year.
