Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires PlayStation Vita Specific Features Announced

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires, originally released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in February, is now heading to PlayStation Vita on November 25 as a digital-only release. Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires won’t just be a straight port to the handheld, however, as it will have some Vita-specific features, as well as cross-support with the other versions.

The biggest exclusive feature of the PlayStation Vita is the touch screen, and this new version of Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will make good use of it. You’ll be able to use the touch screen to call your horse and activate Rage mode, as well as for more complex commands such as selecting and activating Stratagems.

On top of this the multiplayer will be better than ever, with ad-hoc co-operative multiplayer – allowing you to play mutliplayer with nearby friends.

Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires will be PlayStation TV compatible, and will also have cross-play and cross-save functionality with the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, bringing it full circle. In addition, all DLC bought for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions will work with the PlayStation Vita version of Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires.

There will also be bonus content available to early adopters of Dynasty Warriors 8 Empires on PlayStation Vita, which will be “available to those who pre-purchase the game via the PlayStation®Network within first month from release.”

Specifically, this ‘Special Edit Parts’ pack, includes equipment and costumes based on fan favourite Koei Tecmo characters: Guo Jia and Guan Yinping from Dynasty Warriors 8, Date Mashamune from the (japan-only) social game ‘Nobunyaga no Yabou’, and a very special Tenko costume from the sensational demon-hunting action title Toukiden!
