Final Fantasy XV Day One Sales Exceed 5 Million Units
After its highly-anticipated worldwide release on 29th November, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XV day one sales have exceeded a staggering 5 million units. This makes the game the fastest-selling title in the history of the Final Fantasy series!
Final Fantasy XV was the first game in the series to have a simultaneous global launch, and has already received critical acclaim from fans throughout the world for its spectacular graphics, battle system, and open-world freedom.
But the achievements don’t stop there – Final Fantasy XV also broke the record in Japan for the game with the most downloads on its day of release. Elsewhere in Asia, its total units shipped and digital downloads surpassed the record for total day one game sales. It just goes to show that Final Fantasy XV is truly something to be reckoned with!
Square Enix have said they will continue expanding and enhancing the experience of Final Fantasy XV, with additional content and further associated products. Given the huge start it’s already had – with Kingsglaive, Brotherhood and everything else – it looks like this is going to be huge!
Final Fantasy XV is out now on PS4 and Xbox One.
