Using an unpatched version of the game, YouTube user Fotm Hero has managed to exploit a Final Fantasy XV glitch that lets you explore Niflheim. Clocking in at almost an hour, you can see the different areas of Niflheim explored by foot (rather than obligatory train ride) in the following video:
The area around Cartanica station is very detailed, as it can be fully loaded, whereas other zones run the risk of an infinite loading screen should you try and explore them. Despite this, the video provides not only a great look at the surrounding Cartanica area, but also Eusciello, Pagla, and Tenebrae.
It’s things like this video that definitely make you curious about about the world in Final Fantasy XV. Are people able to forcibly explore these areas because they were built up and then just not used? Maybe it’s a matter of further exploration being on the cards later on, as has been hinted at before. For one thing, taking the Regalia off-road is already in the works, which will open up a little more freedom, even if not to the impressive breaking-into-Niflheim extent.
You can see some of the game’s more ridiculous early glitches and bugs here.
