Fire Emblem Heroes Voting Gauntlet Event Begins

The Fire Emblem Heroes voting gauntlet event is here, bringing with it two new Summoning Focuses! The voting gauntlet is a three-round popularity contest running from 7th – 12th March, where players pick a Hero to support and fight to get more votes for that character! It’s a pretty cool idea!

The event features eight princes and princesses who you can choose to support. When you select a Hero, you’ll join their army, but you won’t know their current standing in the vote until you join! It’s then a case of battling as much as you can for your chosen Hero! Keep in mind that you won’t be able to change army until the one you’ve selected loses.

Battles are 3-on-3, using automatically generated teams from players in the same army, and each win results in the ability to vote. Each vote boosts the army’s score, and the number of votes increases based on the number of friends you have. You can get an extra boost by setting your chosen Hero as the team leader, or by using Battle Flags. Battle Flags are obtained as a log-in bonus or by completing the special voting gauntlet quests.

There are 3 potential rewards players can get once the event ends. These are based on the overall number of votes by everyone across the event. The rewards are:

– For 1 billion votes: 3 Orbs, 1 of each Great Badge

– For 3 billion votes: 5 Orbs, 3 of each Great Badge

– For 5 billion votes: 10 Orbs, 5 of each Great Badge

As part of the event, two new Summoning Focuses are available until 13th March. The ‘Princes’ one gives you better odds of summoning Chrom, Ephraim, or Leo, and ‘Princesses’ improves your chances of getting Lucina, Eirika, or Elise.

This is a really interesting event! Although it does seem a little poorly arranged with the initial match-ups – Alfonse doesn’t stand a chance against a character like Chrom! It’s not clear what the reward will be using the final winner, but the general event rewards sound like a nice bonus if players can reach them! Given how insanely quickly the Twitter campaign was completed, it looks manageable!
