Garou Mark of the Wolves PS4 is Out Today, Launch Trailer Revealed at PSX
Garou Mark of the Wolves PS4 is out right now! The re-release is in celebration of Fatal Fury‘s 25th anniversary, and is available to buy in the PSN store immediately. It’ll work on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita and features cross buy, cross play, and cross save. The ultimate combination!
Garou Mark of the Wolves, or Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves as the Dreamcast version was known, was a pretty landmark title for SNK when it originally released in 1999. First ported to Neo Geo and then Dreamcast, Mark of the Wolves pushed the wall of what was possible in arcade to home fighting game conversions.
Mark of the Wolves is technically the 8th game in the Fatal Fury series, but is one of the most well known and what people think of when they think classic Fatal Fury. It was a 2D fighter from that peak time of 2D spritework. It’s the type of sprite art that still very much holds up today. When people talk about Neo Geo being great for Arcade ports, Mark of the Wolves is one of the games they talk about.
This re-release of Mark of the Wolves features some enhancements. It has a gallery mode, the option to change the music, and perhaps most importantly an online mode. We really hope people pick this up and grow the online community, as Mark of the Wolves is one of those titles that deserves a fresh life for sure! At only £11.99 cross-buy it’s a bit of a steal!
