Guile to join Street Fighter V later this month

Capcom has announced that world warrior Guile will be the next character to join the growing roster of Street Fighter V.

Guile, with his rad haircut, still comes fully equipped with his Sonic Boom and Somersault Kick moves, and is still a charge character at heart – he can now enter a stance that allows him to charge when moving forward, allowing greater combo variety. His V-Skill sends out a stationary projectile which can enhance his Sonic Booms, and his V-Trigger allows him to send out a barrage of Sonic Booms at different speeds. If that wasn’t enough, his critical art is a massive Sonic Boom that hits multiple times! Sonic Booms everywhere! Those looking for Guile can be pleased that his Sonic Boom is alive and kicking, and he wants you to know it. If you aren’t using Sonic Boom, you aren’t using Guile. Look at how much Sonic Boom variety is there. Look at it. Sonic Boom. Sonic Boom. Sonic Boom. Just preparing you for when Guile releases because I think you’ll be hearing Sonic Boom a lot. Really though, it would’ve been nice to have the focus elsewhere considering Nash also uses Sonic Boom. You can’t escape the boom. The Sonic Boom.

Other than matchmaking improvements, Capcom will also be implementing a rage quit system that will see players locked out of matchmaking for an unknown duration if they’re caught quitting matches often. Sadly, they don’t have LP docked and the person who fell victim to the rage quit doesn’t get LP or a win, so it isn’t much of a deterrent. Hopefully Capcom keep working on this as it’s been a pretty rampant problem online. And no, rage quitting isn’t tactical quitting. Stay in the match and eat your Sonic Booms like the world warrior you are. It’s like a buffet of Sonic Booms.

Guile, his Sonic Booms and the updates are due later this month.

Spread the love!
