Hakoniwa Company Works Minecraft Meets SRPG
Nippon Ichi Software is bringing us another adorable turn-based RPG. Hakoniwa Company Works is a game in the vein of 3D Dot Heroes and Minecraft. You play as a leader of a company that connects floating islands and it is your job to take on various request.
Like in Minecraft you will be able to mine blocks and use a furnace in order to craft your objects and furnish your base. You can naturally make your own house or castle, but the fun comes from creating whatever you want.
Aside from being able to select from countless different character designs the game will let you create your own blocky party members.
The game will be released in Japan on July 17th for PlayStation 4. There is still no word of a western release.
I'm a huge fan of Japanese games and an aspiring game designer. I play literally every game genre. I also like retro games and miss the challenge that they once had. This is the reason why I love doujin games because they bring back that challenging aspect of retro games while innovating upon it.
