Metal Gear Online Lets You Infiltrate Bases With Friends
Despite Spike dropping their Video Game Awards after a decade long run, Geoof Keighley has decided to take things into his own hands and host the first entry in The Game Awards show. There were a lot of interesting titles and announcements there. One of them was Metal Gear Online which will be the multiplayer portion the Metal Gear Solid V experience.
One team sneaked into the enemy base to recover a disk, while the other has to keep out intruders. Each team can customize the look and loadout of their soldiers. They need to help one another in order to succeed. In one example, an ally was caught in a fulton trap as was about to be hauled to the enemy base, but the player quickly shot the balloon before it flew off.
After an ally was caught in a trap by a cute wolf toy, the battle escalated. The match ended with the player riding a mech and mowing down enemy after enemy solider while his teammates escaped with the disk.
Its most likely that more than a small part of this multiplayer match was heavily scripted. Still, we are excited to see how all of this will turn out once it is finally released.
