New Danganronpa V3 Trailer for January 2017 Release in Japan
New Danganronpa V3, the first title outside of the Hope’s Peak Academy story, has received a new trailer. The trailer gives us a better look at our protagonist, Kaede Akamatsu, as well a brief skim through the other characters, including some new forms of Monokuma. The new game takes place in a school, where the students are forced into a killing game by Monokuma (as expected of Danganronpa), but this time it’s a prison school for gifted inmates. This is likely to provide some interesting twists on the gameplay mechanics, such as the fabricated truth bullets (lie bullets?) that were announced previously, though these aren’t really touched on any further in the new trailer.
I’m really excited to see how a cast of prisoners might affect all the murdering that will go on in the game too – maybe some characters will be more receptive to the idea of the killing game this time around?
New Dangranronpa V3 comes out in Japan in January 2017, with a PS4 version alongside the usual PS Vita release. So far, no western release has been confirmed, but the popularity of the other instalments makes me hopeful!
