Nintendo NX Release Date Could be April-June Next Year, Mass-Production Begins Q1
I will always maintain that the Nintendo Wii U is a great console. It has some of the best first-party Nintendo games in history, and superb legacy support. But it is time for something new. Despite details still be sparse, the Nintendo NX release date could be as soon as April-June next year!
Japanese website Ameblo reports the full manufacturing details. Foxconn will be assembling the NX. While Nintendo HQ have said 20m would be produced, some suppliers are saying it’s more along the lines of 10-12m on the production line. This could be a revised goal or simply an inability to meet targets.

Conversely the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are forecasted to ship 13-18m next year. Digitimes Research, reporting this, seems to think that if the Nintendo NX can sell over 10m then it will remain in the competition.
