Multiple Persona games annouced!

After a 72 hour countdown Atlus has finally unveiled what they have in store for the Persona franchise, announcing not one but multiple titles for the following year. During the wait the stream on NicoNico would periodically have short clips of places throughout Japan, with screens which would show the announcement once the timer is up.

Persona Q Shadow of the Labyrinth is a new title coming only on the 3DS. Featuring chibi characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4, it will launch in June 2014. After this announcement the hype quickly died down as everyone was expecting this to be the only annoucement. Atlus masterfully trolled everyone watching with announcement after announcement of games that are not Persona 5.

Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold Featuring Yukari and Junpei from Persona 3 and Adachi from Persona 4. The game is was recently released in the arcades, but now it is coming to the PS3 in summer 2014.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. The gameplay is similar to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA games. Coming in fall 2014.

Oh yea, and Persona 5 is coming to PS3 winter next year teased with this short video at the end of the stream. The game is directed by none other than Katsura Hashino, the director of Persona 3 and 4 as well as Catherine. By the looks of things the main color in this game will be red.

Considering how long it takes these games to come to Europe its your best bet to keep onto your PS3 in the foreseeable future.

I wasn’t expecting that. P5 and Ultimax I figured, but Q and Dancing all night? That’s pretty cool. Really excited by Q. like, REALLY excited

      They like to troll.

      It’s their way. >_<

All those poor fuckers who traded in their ps3 for the ps4

This was more than expected. The PS4 still hasn’t launched in Japan (February 2014) and Atlus spoke of this announcement months before the PS4 launch. So there was almost no way it would be a next-gen title, especially considering that Persona 3 and 4 were released on the PS2 years after the PS3 launch.
