Princess Arthur Gets Localised in Shall We Date? Series
Otomate game Princess Arthur is the next otome title to see localisation at the hands of NTT Solmare as part of the extensive Shall We Date? app series for Android and Apple iOS.
I remember hearing about Princess Arthur when it came out in Japan a few years ago and thinking that a Knights of the Round Table otome game sounded like a cool idea. As with many otome games that don’t see the light of day outside of Japan, it lingered somewhere in the back of my mind as something I would play if able to, with the inevitability of not being able to, so now I’m pretty happy to be getting my chance.
As you can guess from the title, Princess Arthur is an otome spin on Arthurian legend, where Sir Kay’s younger sister, Alu pulls the sword from the stone and becomes royalty. As well as the most well-known of the Knights of the Round Table, Merlin and even Mordred are potential love interests, so it will be interesting to see how they’re incorporated.
Unfortunately, porting these games to mobile tends to mean players miss out on the voices from the original PSP or Vita versions, but it’s great that they’re being made more accessible, and I’m definitely going to have to give this a look!
Princess Arthur is due out on mobile systems later this year
