Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness hits West in Sept

NIS America has announced that Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness, a visual novel inspired by the hit anime, will be coming to PS4 and Vita this September.

For those who aren’t familiar with the series, Psycho-Pass is set in the year 2113 where technology allows a ‘Psycho-Pass’ to be installed into every person’s body, and this allows the government to see who’s likely to commit a criminal act. Just thinking about doing something criminal can result in death, but this new advancement is seen as flawless in the eyes of the law.

In Mandatory Happiness you play as one of two new characters who are Nadeshiko Kugatachi, an amnesiac with a calm and cool demeanour, and Takuma Tsurugi who is hot-headed and on the search for his missing childhood friend. You’ll be asked to make choices throughout the game which can lead to a different ending or different events happening, so think hard about what you’re doing unless you want to meet an early end. Mandatory Happiness brings back the original Japanese voice talent, returning characters and new faces.
