Sexy cardboard boxes in Metal Gear Solid V
Hideo Kojima came on-stage during Gamescom to talk about the…revolutionary…sexy cardboard boxes featured in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. As usual for this franchise, the new mechanics are interesting and ridiculous in equal measure.
I’m all for enhancing the much-loved cardboard box, but some of these features – holding a cut-out of a sexy lady to entice the enemy soldiers, in particular – just make the enemies seem, well…thick.

As a gamer, I'm driven mostly by the narrative of a game, but the artwork and sound-design can also have me captivated in a title. I don't limit myself to any genre: RPG, strategy, adventure and simulation being my favourites. I usually stick to playing mainstream releases but I have, on occasion, dipped my toes in the deep river of Indie titles.On top of this, I'm an avid Square Enix fan-boy - I even love their rubbish games.
