Sonic Mania Brings Back Those Old Infomercials
Sega seems intent on bringing back the classic 2D Sonic with Sonic Mania, even going so far as to reproduce those amazing nonsensical ads from back in the day.
The Collector’s box even includes a 12″ statue of the classic Sonic (the one without the ridiculously long legs), standing on a Sega Genesis Base. Whenever you flip the power switch you will get that glorious SEEGAA sound.
Check out the original Sonic 2 commercial this video parodies bellow. It’s as good as they get.
We too are planning to grab a copy or two of Sonic Mania’s Collector’s Edition to get rid of those nasty stains on our couch when it finally releases sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and on Steam.
I'm a huge fan of Japanese games and an aspiring game designer. I play literally every game genre. I also like retro games and miss the challenge that they once had. This is the reason why I love doujin games because they bring back that challenging aspect of retro games while innovating upon it.
