Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don! Details Released
Further details on the upcoming PS4 title Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don! have been revealed, expanding on the two-player features and character sessions! There’s also a bunch of screenshots! While there’s not a full song list yet, the staple songs have been confirmed to return, along with plenty of new ones!
There are four key difficulty options to choose from, Simple, Normal, Hard, and Demonic. Some songs will have further levels of difficulty with ‘inner note charts’ too.
As you perform well, the scenery will change, getting even more extravagant if you get your Soul Gauge to 100% for maximum tension!
Each song has a ‘Mission Bingo’ set. Getting bingo on these will reward you with extra koban you can use for item treasure chests.
Performances can be played with up to two players, but now you can play alongside a friend’s performance data too! As long as you have the person’s Sony Entertainment Network account registered as a friend , you can perform with them even when they’re not there. Of course, you yourself will also need a Sony Entertainment Network account (and an internet connection), but PlayStation Plus is not required.
There are a lot of customisation options for your Don-chan, with over 200 types of outfit parts and over 60 colour options. Your customised Don-chan will be what appears if a friend uses your performance data in a Friend Session, and you can set a greeting to show them too.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don! also introduces Guest Sessions, where popular characters will assist you during the performance. The character will have perform a variety of actions and things to say based on your results, so you’ll have to perform with them a few times to hear and see everything!
A special USB controller was announced previously, and will be available as part of a bundle with the game or separately.
There are a whole load of new screenshots this time around, showing all aspects of the game! It looks like it’ll be super fun!
Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don! is due out later this year in Japan on PS4.
