Tekken 7 TGS Trailer for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam Released
At the Tokyo Game Show this year, Bandai Namco revealed a new trailer for Tekken 7. I’ve always been pretty impressed by the graphics of the Tekken series, and, as the first instalment on the PS4, the new trailer shows Tekken 7 is visually splendid, as well as providing the quality fighting action we know and love. Check it out below:
Tekken 7 is due to be released worldwide early in 2017, coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as PC for the first time via Steam. Tekken 6 saw console release back in 2009, so it will have been a staggering 8 years since a main number instalment, and 5 years since the last release overall (Tekken Tag Tournament 2).
There will be 10 new characters, including Akuma from the Street Fighter series, bringing the final roster to 32 playable characters. 20 of these will be included in the default cast, with the others to follow, presumably as DLC.
The most exciting new character as far as the Tekken series plot is concerned is probably Kazumi Mishima, Heihachi’s wife. As the conflicts between members of the Mishima (and by extension Kazama) family is at the heart of the Tekken games, an additional member of the family will no doubt provide some interesting insights. She also has a Devil form, of course, which is something to look forward to.
Along with additional content exclusive to the PS4 version, VR support has been announced.
