UDON Announces Dark Souls II Design Works Coming October

There’s nothing quite like video game design artwork. Concept art encapsulates a vision, whole strange worlds, alien landscapes, and fantastic creatures perfectly realised in traditional art. But the best way to view art isn’t on screen, it’s to hold it in your hands. To cherish it. Dark Souls Design Works is one of the finest artbooks out there, and the just announced Dark Souls II Design Works looks set to carry on the tradition.

Dark Souls II Design Works will be released by UDON Entertainment October 2015. Dark Souls III comes out “early 2016” according to its E3 announcement, so this could be a great way to pass the time while you wait.

The first Dark Souls Design Works perfectly showcased the haunting, Gothic designs of the Dark Souls universe — and was just as enchanting, if not more so, as Dark Souls itself. At 240 pages, Dark Souls II Design Works is quite a bit larger than the 128 pages of Dark Souls Design Works.

Dark Souls II: Design Works collects all the chilling and haunting fantasy artwork behind the critically-acclaimed game in a prestigious hardcover tome. Featured inside are armor and weapon designs, character concepts, enemies, locations, rough sketches, an exclusive interview with the game’s creators, and more. Completing the book is a bevy of concept material from all three chapters of the game’s DLC trilogy, “The Lost Crowns”.

Spread the love!
