Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception Heading West

Developed by Sting and Leaf and published by Aquaplus, the companies that made the popular To Heart, White Album and Tears to Tiara series, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception is the second installment in the Utawarerumono franchise.

Here you play as Haku an amnesiac who awakens to find himself in a hostile wilderness. He is rescued by a beautiful girl named Kuon, who has ears and a tail. He soon builds relationships with other interesting characters, as well as slowly enters the realm of politics and war.

Like its predecessor, Mask of Deception will combine visual novel elements with tactical SRPG gameplay. The game will be making its way to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in 2017. Atlus, who is publishing the game in Europe and North America, confirmed that the game had to be altered a bit to hit western shelves. In one instance they had to cut one scene which depicted an adult spanking a young girl. But other than that the game is not an adult title in Japan, so you can expect minimal censorship.
