Yo-kai Watch 2 Launches on 3DS Family Systems in April

Yo-kai Watch 2 launches on the Nintendo 3ds family systems on April 7th! The game will be available in two forms, Yo-kai Watch 2: Bony Spirits and Yo-kai Watch 2: Fleshy Souls. Which version you pick will determine which army you’re part of for the Bony vs Fleshy army online battles! It’s like the Pokemon Go team rivalries all over again!

As well as influencing online allegiances, the two versions will each have 5 unique Yo-kai. Don’t worry if you’re a hardcore collector though, you’ll be able to trade these locally or online. The online and multiplayer battles are a really exciting new feature to Yo-kai Watch 2. Players will be able to trade Yo-kai Medals online, as well as create a team of their favourite Yo-kai to challenge friends with. These battles will result in Battle Points, whether you win or lose, which you can then use in the Official BP Shop to release imprisoned Yo-kai and power up those you have.

Here’s an overview of the game, courtesy of Nintendo:

One night, as Nate is fast asleep, two sinister Yo-kai peer through his bedroom window and wipe away all of his memories, as well as his Yo-kai Watch. The next day he stumbles across the Mysterious Memory Store where he’s reunited with his Yo-kai Watch, shortly followed by his hilarious Yo-kai pals, Jibanyan and Whisper, who fans will recognise from the hit TV cartoon series. Players can play as either Nate or Katie on a journey through time as they try to uncover the reasons behind the latest mysteries and disturbances in their hometown.

Each Yo-kai has its own unique personality, but they all love to create mischief, doing their best to hide from human eyes. With a little understanding, and with the right food, players can befriend mischievous Yo-kai – both old and new – as they take part in an epic adventure.

Along their journeys, players will encounter a special Yo-kai named Hovernyan, who shows them how to travel through time. Players can visit Springdale as it was 60 years ago, travel between different locations, and switch between the past and present in an instant, as they set out to discover the mysteries behind the Wicked Yo-kai. As players travel through time to uncover mysteries, they can take on over 80 exciting side quests which involve helping the local residents with their everyday problems. By helping townsfolk, players can discover new Yo-kai and receive useful rewards that will help them on their adventures.
