Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4 Plus: Summer Memories Uncancelled and Coming to PS4 – Details
Zettai Zestsumei Toshi 4 for PlayStation 3, part of a series of disaster survival games known as Disaster Report and Raw Danger! in the west, was unfortunately cancelled in 2011. Likely in part due to some tragic natural disasters at the time. But now the project is back, revived for PlayStation 4, as Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4 Plus: Summer Memories.

Zettai Zetsumei Toshi is a great and very unique series of games, in that uniquely Japanese way.
Here are the details we know about Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4 Plus: Summer Memories so far!
– Temporarily terminated game Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 4: Summer Memories will finally be relaunched on PS4.
– No release date has been confirmed.
– The leading character is a graduate looking for jobs. It is possible to choose to be a male or female. Players will also have to choose tasks at the start of the game.
– The player will need to survive in a city devastated by a big earthquake for a week.
– There are some natural aspects of being human that will need to be managed, such as hunger, food expiration dates, and needing the toilet.
– The reason why it’s renamed to have “Plus” in the title is that the game is re-examined and recreated from the ground up by the developers.
– The player will have to come back to the original place within one week instead of escaping the scene as in prior Zettai Zetsumei Toshi games.
– The player can start from where he/she died and some other new elements.
– The differences for the following game scenes are dependent on the leading character the player chooses.
– Due to being on PS4, the developers want players to go online and play together as a community.

We hope Zettai Zetsumei Toshi will get another chance in the west soon, as they’re great games that unfortunately have never done too well in the west. Possibly because of their bad names and terrible, terrible US box art. The first game was released here as Disaster Report, and the second as Raw Danger!
