In the capital of Adalett Kingdom, Melveille, twin sisters and budding alchemists Lydie and Soeur help their father and dream of running the best atelier in the country. The girls are still inexperienced, and growing impatient as they struggle to realise this dream, when they find a mysterious painting in the basement. The painting shows a beautiful world, filled with never-before-seen materials they could use to bring their dream closer to reality.

Height: 149 cm
The younger twin sister. Soeur is bright, lively and a bit of a tomboy. She has a mischievous streak and often teases her sister. She has an air of genius about her, and is careless about most things, but has a strong dislike of insects and will make a fuss if one lands on her.
The Worlds of Mysterious Paintings
After their initial encounter takes them into a painting by mistake, Lydie and Soeur go on to explore the worlds of many different paintings to collect materials that cannot be found in the real world. Explore the worlds of the paintings and defeat monsters to find rare materials. By taking on requests and challenges from people around the city, you’ll be able to raise your Atelier Rank, which will allow you to go into more paintings. Keep raising your Atelier Rank and aim to become the best!
The puzzle-like synthesis from the other Mysterious games returns in Atelier Lydie & Soeur: Alchemists of the Mysterious Painting. This time, Activation Items are being added, bringing an element of surprise to the synthesis system.
While putting materials in the panels, throw in an Activation Item and the colours of the panels will change. Each Activation Item has a different effect.
The front and rear team-based Combination Battle system is suited to the game’s twin protagonists, with battle styles changing depending on the formation of the team. Players can have a total of 6 characters in the party, divided into 3 pairs. The characters at the front attack the enemy directly, while the characters at the rear support their respective front partner. The teammates at the back will act automatically based on the situation, so you only need to focus on choosing actions for the characters at the front to unleash flashy moves.
The new Battle Mix system lets you use the materials you’ve gathered to synthesise during battles. By using the Battle-Exclusive Synthesis Command, you’ll be able to synthesis on the spot and instantly create items to help you enjoy diverse and extensive battles.
