Bandai Namco Trademarks Taiko Drum Master Titles in Europe
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen one of the Taiko Drum Master titles come west – over a decade, in fact – but Bandai Namco has recently filed three trademarks that suggest the recent PS4 and Switch titles might be coming overseas!
Following a “Drum Master” trademark on June 29th for the general series name in the west, Bandai Namco filed “Drum Session!” and “Drum ‘n’ Fun!” on July 13th. “Drum Session!” is the subtitle for the PS4 game that released last year, while “Drum ‘n’ Fun!” seems to be the western subtitle for Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! and links up with the recent Australian rating for Switch.
These past few years have been a great time for rhythm games, and all that’s been missing from the list is Taiko Drum Master! Hopefully, we’ll have further info on new Taiko Drum Master games coming west very soon.
Taiko no Tatsujin: Nintendo Switch Version! releases on Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 19th and in Southeast Asia on August 9th.
