Capcom Home Arcade Plug And Play Machine Revealed By Capcom

We reported yesterday that Capcom teased a retro-themed announcement for today, and now we know exactly what this project is … for better or worse, depending on your perspective. So, everyone say hello to the Capcom Home Arcade, a plug and play home arcade machine.

Emblazoned with Capcom’s iconic duo tone logo, the Capcom Home Arcade delivers a classic single and multi-player arcade gaming experience. It will feature 16 of the best Capcom titles from the golden age of arcade gaming, and the two full-size premium sticks and buttons enable these games to be played the way that they were meant to be played.

The parts of this machine are incredible, featuring a pair of competition class Sanwa sticks and buttons for the finest precision, response times and durability. Also, the 16 Games pre-installed are the original Capcom arcade ROMs with emulation exclusively provided by FBAlpha, delivering an authentic and accurate arcade experience.

You can break high scores in single player, team up with a friend in co-op multi player or destroy them in a head-to-head battle. Then upload your best scores via the Capcom Home Arcades on-board WiFi to a Worldwide High Score Leader board to see how you match up against other across the globe.

THE GAMES:
  • 1944: The Loop Master
  • Alien™ vs Predator™
  • Armored Warriors
  • Capcom Sports Club™
  • Captain Commando™
  • Cyberbots™: Fullmetal Madness
  • Darkstalkers™: The Night Warriors
  • Eco Fighters™
  • Final Fight™
  • Ghouls ‘n Ghosts™
  • Giga Wing™
  • Mega Man: The Power Battle™
  • Progear™
  • Street Fighter™ II: Hyper Fighting
  • Strider™
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo™

We’re not sure on this. On one hand, it has Darkstalkers, Strider, Final Fight, and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo on it. But on the other hand, it’s an incredibly unweildy piece of kit, and with a £200 price tag for 16 games, it’s steep. But what do you think? Are you interested in this or are you out? Let us know in the comments, or on Twitter and Facebook, and check back for more gaming news!

The Capcom Home Arcade will be available from all major gaming retailers from October 25th 2019 in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and Russia. Pre-order here!
