Gun Gun Pixies Game Modes Overview
An overview of the Gun Gun Pixies game modes was recently added to the official website, with the two alien protagonists explaining how different aspects of the game will work. These can all be accessed from the main menu ‘Briefing’ area.
Story Mode
As expected, Story Mode is the game’s main mode, allowing you to play through the third-person shooter from start to finish. In fact, you can continue making your way through Story Mode without going back to the main menu, as long as you don’t get a game over. If that’s the approach you go for though, you’ll want to be mindful that the game has no auto-save feature, so you’ll have to save manually after missions or through options.
Practice Mode
Clearing a mission in Story Mode makes it available in Practice Mode, which is ideal for re-doing individual stages. You can customise which tenant appears in a stage in this mode, as well as their outfit and pose. Shooting a tenant with a Happy Bullet will get different reactions depending on their pose. Completing the stage shows you your ranking and records for clear time, Picoin count, intel gathering, damage, and accuracy, so this is the mode for trying to beat your personal best!
Deck Mode
Deck Mode lets you change the equipment of the two main characters. As well as buying new equipment and items to power up your guns from the shop, you can choose outfits for B-tan and Kamepon here. These outfits don’t have an effect on your stats, so you’re free to pick what you want without having to worry about what’s strongest!
Configuration
The general options menu, this is where you can save and load your data, as well as change settings for the camera, controls, sound, and message speed. There’s also a mysterious secret option!
Gallery Mode
Finally, there’s the Gallery, which is the last mode you unlock. Here you can replay events and look at the 2D and 3D character sprites. It looks like you can view the characters in some different poses too.
