NIS America bringing tons of games to the west

Fans will be pleased to hear that NIS America is bringing an overwhelming amount of games this year and next. There is something here for everyone, be it RPGs, Visual Novels, or 2D Fighting games. It seems that NIS America is one of the only publishers that are actually bringing titles to the Vita. So Vita owners can also rejoice, as the majority of these titles will be making their way to that platform.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited

The next installment in the popular Disgaea franchise is finally making its way to the PlayStation Vita. Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited adds new scenarios adding more backstory for popular characters. This version also includes all the DLCs from the PlayStation 3 version. In this edition players will be able to hear an all brand-new music tracks almost reaching 100 different tunes. Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is out today – get it here cheaper than anywhere else!

Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

The popular PSP franchise made a splash on the Vita with Danganronpa earlier this year. Danganronpa 2 is said to bring many improvements over the original, including better mini-games and an even more engaging plot. The new setting includes a seaside resort, perfect for play during the summer season. The game will be out next week, on the 5th September, exclusively for the PlayStation Vita.

Fairy Fencer F

After an ancient war that left the world in shatters. Remains of the weapons from that time called Fury, are highly sought after by warriors called fencers. It is said whoever collects a Fury will be granted one wish. The game is made by Compile Hearts and will feature many elements from the Hyperdimensional Neptunia and Mugen Souls series. Fairy Fencer F will be out on September 19, only for PlayStation 3.

NAtURAL DOCtRINE

Made by Kadokawa Game Studio, Natural Doctrine is a harddcore strategy RPG said to be one of the hardest games ever made, where losing a single soldier in battle spells game over. The game received a check point system and an additional easier mode for the western release, making it much less frustrating to play, while still remaining ridiculously difficult. This title will feature co-op multiplayer and even a 1v1 battle mode. Natural Doctrine will be out on September 26th for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Natural Doctrine will support cross-save and cross-play.

Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed

A game I know ILJG can’t wait to get his hands on. Your goal is to strip vampires on the street in order to expose them to the sun. While the original never made its way to the west, Akiba’s Trip 2 only titled in the west as Akiba’s Trip: Undead & Undressed will be making up for this. You can expect to see some stripping on October 10th for the PlayStation 3 and Vita. While PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait until 2015 to see some skin.

It’s available to pre-order, right here!

Tears to Tiara II

Released last year in Japan, Tears to Tiara II is the sequel to the popular adult tactical RPG, visual novel hybrid. Made by Aqua Plus, this title is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, moving from the 2D battles to full 3D arenas. The game will be out on November 7th.

You can now pre-order it from the Rice store!

Arcana Heart 3: Love Max!!!!!

This is the updated version of the Arcana Heart 3 title coming also to PlayStation Vita. This version includes rebalanced gameplay and new modes. Arcana Hearts 3 allows players to select between 23 characters, featuring new attacks and skills. You will be able to mix each of the girls with Arcanas (celestial beings) impacting on your playstyle. Arcana Heart 3: Love Max!!!!! will be out for both the PlayStation 3 and Vita this year.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is the upcoming Persona game exclusive for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will feature characters from both Persona 3 and Persona 4, all drawn using a chibi artstyle. Persona Q is a dungeon crawler RPG one that is very similar to the Etrian Oddyesy, as you will have to draw in your own maps for the dungeons you will visit. The game will be out on November 28th.

Criminal Girls: Invite Only

In Criminal Girls you play as a warden whose task is to rehabilitate seven delinquent girls and save their souls that are damned to Hell for all eternity. The game was originally released in 2010 for the PSP. Invite Only will be an enhanced port featuring new characters, scenarios, voices, gameplay elements and more. The game features a way to “punish” your girls. While this segment was slightly censored it is fortune that it will still make its way to the official release. Criminal Girls Invite Only will be out in spring 2015, exclusively for PlayStation Vita.

htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary

htoL#NiQ is an interesting title, one I personally cannot wait to play. Here you must guide a amnesiac girl using a Hotaru the firefly. You can use the front touch screen to move the firefly while the back touchpad to move the alter world firefly in order to solve puzzles. The game will feature beautiful 2D visuals and impressive lighting from the firefly. Expect htoL#NiQ on your Vita sometime next year.

Under Night In-Birth: Exe: Late

Made by French-Bread, the company behind the Melty Blood franchise, and Arc System Works the team that made Guilty Gear and Blazblue, comes Under Night In-Birth: Exe: Late. I am a huge fan of Melty Blood and I can’t hold my excitement for this title. Under Night In-Birth will be coming out for PlayStation 3 sometime next year.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters

Brought to us by the developers behind Deadly Premonition comes a new visual novel that will be a tale of life, death and everything in-between.  You play as a transfer student at the Kurenai Academy where immediately upon your arrival you stumble on supernatural forces at work. The game will feature a unique 3D battle system to complement the visual novel sections. Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters will be out for PlayStation 3 next year.

The Awakened Fate Ultimatum

This is the sequel to last years The Guided Fate Paradox. The game is a hardcore rougelike game, forcing you to even micromanage your character’s hunger. This time the game has opted for 3D chibi characters instead of the 2D ones of its predecessor. The Awakened Fate Ultimatum will be out next year for the PlayStation 3.
