Atlus announce Persona 4 the Golden animation; trailer releasedon May 2, 2014 by Mitch Jay
In their NicoNico stream earlier today, Atlus announced that Persona 4 the Golden will receive an anime of its own, handled by A-1 Pictures. Although we already have a Persona 4 animation, it excluded much of the content made exclusively for Golden, and maybe the ending will be better handled this time around.
If the game is anything to go by, the Golden anime should include more events that happen during Margaret’s Social Link, Marie, a new set of shadow battles and many social events such as the beach and ski trips. The Golden anime also seems to boast crisper and more detailed animation, when compared to the vanilla Persona 4 Animation.
It’s certainly easy to understand frustration with another Persona 4 anime being announced, but hopefully this’ll allow them to create a greater show than before, with flaws such as the rushed ending being re-created. As Persona 4 Golden is my favourite game, I can’t help but be excited for this news, and hope that it sees a release outside of Japan with an English dub.
