Rumour: Characters From Senran Kagura Coming To BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
The datamining into the files of BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle has kept on rolling after the recent reveal of the remaining DLC characters to come to the game. But now those wily folks have now managed to find the audio files for the announcer voice clips for all of the characters, uncovering two mystery characters.
The news broke early this morning on Twitter, and the original audio compilation has since been taken down. However, as you can see in the video below, the announcer clearly says the names “Asuka” and “Yumi” after the RWBY fighters. Could this be that this Asuka and Yumi are the very same key characters in Senran Kagura, and could we be seeing our first use of the ‘ETC’ section on the BBTAG character select screen (besides for selecting ‘Random)?

Of course, at this point, this is only a rumour, and we will have to wait for official word from Arc System Works but this definitely has the potential to dramatically widen the scope of the game. BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 31st May in Japan, 5th June in North America, and Summer in Europe.
