Sony wish to bring Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga games to PSN in Europe

With Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 having released in 2006 and 2007 in Europe respectively, many fans of the SMT series missed out, especially those who got into the series due to Persona 3 and 4.

Fortunately, publisher Ghostlight UK are still looking into bringing both titles to the PlayStation Network digitally, as PS2 Classics, so that fans will have a chance to play the rare classics.

Moving on to SMT: Digital Devil Saga I and II for PSN – if you remember last week I mentioned we were looking into these titles again following the recent release of SMT: Nocturne on the North American PSN Store. Well, earlier today I learned that following some discussions with Sony, they are investigating whether the two Digital Devil Saga titles will work with the latest version of the PS2 emulator. This process is likely to take a few weeks but we’re keeping our fingers crossed in the hope that all goes well. Whatever happens, I’ll be sure to let you all know as soon as I hear anything.

With Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne having recently been released in NA, it’s safe to assume that Digital Devil Saga will also make the jump there, and hopefully Nocturne will visit the EU, too.

Spread the love!
