Super Mario Run Launches on iOS December 15th

Nintendo’s Super Mario Run smartphone game will be available on iPhone and iPad from December 15th. While the initial app will be free, and give you a taste of the game’s three modes, the full version is priced at $9.99 (approximately £8/ €9.30).

Super Mario Run is the first Mario game for smartphone. Mario runs on his own, and the player taps the screen to help him jump over obstacles, collect coins, and avoid enemies. Sort of like a fancier version of that dinosaur game when Google Chrome can’t connect. That could become addictive pretty quickly…

The game will be available in over 151 countries, and supported in 10 languages. The supported languages are English, Japanese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portugese, Dutch, Russian, and traditional Chinese. It will be compatible with devices running iOS 8.0 or higher. There will be an Android release at a later date.
