Wind Waker HD Glitch Allows You to Skip Half the Game

Zelda games have always been popular in the speedrunning community, and The Wind Waker HD has always stumped fans when it comes to a barrier that prevents you from heading straight to Ganon. Despite being touched upon last year, a new Wind Waker HD glitch has been discovered to help you speed through the game.

You can watch the video below to see how user gymnast86 performs the Wind Waker HD glitch, but there”s a whole lot of angling to do. Having a good understanding of the games mechanics and timings is important, as well as the “item slide” glitch, but once you’ve got them down then you can be well on your way to beating Ganon before the games usual halfway point. This glitch only works with the HD version of the game.

It’ll be interesting to see people play through The Wind Waker HD at Games Done Quick next year!
